I ran across scorpion traps which did not stack with the standard version, and were worth a lot more when sold. Maybe these can not be used (I never tried)? Can you buy some traps and see if those ones work? Check with Tingalf (if he has not been arrested yet), Finnigan (in a game started after the 1.34 patch was installed) or possibly Blake or Mpenzak, since they sometimes carry them.
