Bentusi Core
saddest part in the game; salvaging parts of an ally. something one must do & promptly as vaygr detected the massive explosion of the bentus.
explosion has caused the bentusi core to break into 3 pieces which u must collect before vaygr forces get them & hyperspace out with them.
this mission's very straight-forward & relatively easy. now according to the mission objectives, u must colect all 3 parts of the core & then kill off all vaygr forces. if u do not want the game to end right after u collect all parts of the core & kill off all vaygr forces, then u should not collect the core pieces first. guard them if u must but first & foremost kill off all vaygr forces, especially the shipyard, 2-3 carriers, a considerable amount of destroyers, the usual fighters & frigates & corvettes & one badass battlecruiser(u can play & replay this game to capture this bad mutha as it's worth every dead marine frigate). & ignore the part where the game asks u to send out a probe. just send your attacking force instead to save time & effort.
when u first arrive at the scene, u'll be near to one of the core pieces. now each of the pieces is covered with some kind of radiation that will destroy any unit, unless u upgrade your defense field frigate. my suggestion is that to send all out to wipe the vaygr but maybe 2-3 flak & torpedo frigates to guard your mutha(ship) & nabaal(shipyard). the dreadnaught is the most powerful unit u have & it can be your tank so use it well. i suggest capital phalanx formation for your attacking force.
move your attacking force to the middle of the map & towards the 2nd nearest core piece. when u're near there, vaygr will hyper into the area & try to get the core pieces. u know what to do with your attacking force.
when that's done, move on to the next patch of enemies & terminate them. naturally u'll meet the vaygr shipyard near the farthest core piece. after killing off all hyperspace-capable vaygr ships, u can rest easy & rebuild your force as well as harvest the much needed resources. collection of the core pieces can be the last thing on your itinerary.
new upgrade: destroyer, defense field frigate new ship: battlecruiser (very slow build time so u won't get to use them in this mission)

Janggut - impressive ! great work you have done here.
I see you are making good progress in the game. Can't say the same about myself. Played some other games.
Where are you now in the game? Is it getting harder and how is the storyline? Good luck.
Btw. I have got a loan from the bank. And I have signed the contract for my new flat. Somewhere in the middle of December I will get tha keys and move in So, everything goes just as planned. Thanks for kind words.

hey egin, good to know u're doing ok there. maybe u can send us pix of your place once u're done moving in.
as for my progress in homeworld 2, i'm currently in mission 12, which is so dang hard compared to previous missions. u'll be seeing so many battlecruisers, destroyers, oh man so many capital ships that can just wipe your entire fleet under 2 minutes. will let u know once i have a winning strategy for that mission.
so how's max payne 2 & the other game that u're playing?
there's another dude who plays homeworld 2 as well; deltawolf, & he mentioned that he has a strategy guide that's very helpful. which reminds me; i need to pm him in regards to this. he'll be a great addition to this ad-hoc homeworld2 walkthru.

Sure, why not. I will make some pics to show you.

Ohh no, can it really be even more difficult? Sure, it becomes easy when you know the right approach, but god knows how many reloads will it take to find it.

Max Payne is in the past. Great game. Even more scisofrenic than the first one. Nice story, good graphics. I loved music especially main menue music - very sad, very. This game is another good drama.
Currently I am deciding is UFO Aftermath is good game and is it worth playing. I have already started playing it. What I can say for sure that previous UFOs (terror from the deep and enemy unknown) were outstanding. This one is kinda weak. Another game I have just started to play is Call of Duty. This is very good candidate to become nr 1 FPS of the year. Another very well implemented WW2 shooter like RTCW or MOH.

Ohh, glad to see another HW fan
I am sorry, I think I am screwing this walkthrough post with my messages

Just finished mission 12 - it was extreamly difficult. They keep on sending Battlecruisers and Destroyers.
My advice is to max out your fleet and put ion cannon platform and ion frigates in your building que to keep on producing them as they are destroyed.
Keep your fleet together and concentrate your attack on one ship at a time. First destroy the destroyers and then concentrate on the battlecruisers.
There are 2 shipyards and 1 carrier, take them out asap, it gets easyer after that.
The station can also produce Battlecruisers and destroyers, but not as fast.
Don't worry about the objectives, there is enough time to do them.
Very imporant: Before doing the last objective rebuild your fleet, you are going to need it in the next mission. Make sure you've got a lot of ru's.

wow deltawolf, u manage to get through the barrage of capital ships.
yep egin, this one's the toughest so far & i have yet 2 get through though i managed to kill most but 3 battlecruisers, 3 destroyers, a shipyard & makaan with the station keep kicking my S. more frustrations to follow before i get through this one.
fyi, i read from HW official forum that if u scuttle your fleet (most of them especially cap ships) before going to the next mission, then the game will adjust the difficulty & AI will have lower ship count. now your worry will be if u can build faster than the AI, which u know u can't. i cannot verify this as i normally max out my fleet before going for the next mission.
crap! does relic have to resort to cheap rush tactics & call it difficulty?

The european Patch is still delayed and euroopeans get nervous. Some voices say that they won't buy games by Sierra anymore.
Someone reported that Vivendi staff said that the Patch is still at Sierra "where it seemingly rots", so the poster.
