i tried meteorstrike before but im usually too paralyzed to run...haha this is stupid
also when you run, right, he doesn't appear on yr map until he's close, and that's too close for comfort...

and he freaks me out. that what-'s-his-name in the catacombs too. when you run ahead and he suddenly appears, you tend to attack him by instinct (not you then me anyway) but of cos, you cant

btw what do you recommend a mage learns right at the beginning?
