Lighte, I'd do this: After you leave Aleroth and explore the rest of the maps, trade with every one and have a look if they sell spell books. I bought every book I could lay my greedy hands on, except those where I was lvl 5 already. As a tip from me: Never max out your spells with skill pts, it's better to buy them, but you have to be patient.

it IS entirely random whether a person holds a spell book or not right? there was one with silvana at the forgot-what-inn, blue boar?
and in joram's hse, his bk shelf in the little room also had spell books, i know this is random, so i tried till i got one (got banish) and i've seen lightning too
no reason, but i wld also like to confirm that the levels with multiples of 5 give you two skill pts right?
