well i bet everybody has some expectations that they want to see in dd2. I also have some expectations. So this is the post to write them.

1- Unique items and sets like in diablo
2- More equipment to wear such as cloaks and more robes
3- Some of the equpiments look the same when u put them on so a wider variety of equipments with their unique look on the character.
4- The strongest shield type of the game(dunno what it is called e.g. dragonshield) looks ugly and too big on the character. Fix that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

First of all I want more variety on char. I want at least a red head warrior. And some disent clothes. Maybe some races too to chose from. I mean I like elf ears <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> It gets on my nerves that my warrior at the moment is a blonde. The cloaks is a very nice idea.

I may be the Marked one, but I am still human, so I want some company. I remember playing Septera Core. Well one of the reasons I loved this game was because I had company. I had friends, people to trust. So if there would be some company in my long lonely journeys in DD2 that would be nice.

I do not think anything more right now, but I have not finished yet the game so perhaps till the end I will come up with some ideas. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" />

I have never played Diablo before but why does everyone keep comparing DD to it? Are they that much alike? I have never seen any other game that i could compare this game with...the graphics are totally new..something i've never seen before...i should hope that we get more people to travel with in the the DD....or this <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> i keep hearing about...looking forward to it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Bah... yah... fah...

You are the only person I've seen that played and enjoyed that game as well! The bloody thing sells for AU$10 now (US$6) because no-one's heard of it.

Diablo is a hack-and-slash RPG. It consists almost entirely of the combat and character developemnt side of Divine Divinity. You have the same four attributes, you have armour and weapons that you can buy or find of varying grades of quality and magic. You fight your way into hell to defeat the Lord of Terror, Diablo.

Diablo 2 has an even more superior combat system to Divine Divinity, but lacks the story and development of Divine Divinity.

If you like the combat element in Divine Divinity, I recommend Diablo and Diablo 2. You won't be disappointed.

I loved that game! I'm just pissed that I lost my saved game a couple of hours from the end. I haven't got around to getting through it again. There was so much that was good in that game.

By the way, did you ever work out what the ghost boy on the dead farm was about?

one more thing about diablo
like in many other rpg games npc merchants have infinite amount of gold so u can go to one of them and sell whatever u dont need and get rich. It is good that they put a limit to the wallet of npcs in DD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Soo glad you liked it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

Well the ghost boy was somehting like Easter egg. I mean even if you did not have the chance to talk to him, that was not relevant to the story. You just chase him to talk to him and that is all.

Btw I happen to have a saved game close to the end if you are itnerested.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

The birds on the other hand was a different story... If you could manage to feed and gather all ten of them, then you could open the tower near Wind city and take a lot of goodyies

I remember those birds. I think I found nine of them. It's been a long time though.

Thanks for the offer of a save, but it's been so long I can't even remember where I was up to! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I liked Septerra Core, though the fighting could get tedious (going through the same area again, all the same monsters were in all the same spots, though you didn't have to do that too much). I got it in a cheap two-pack, and never even opened the other game (FPS).

"Feast your eyes on stunning 16-bit, 640x480 graphics."

"first" person shooter.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Personally I don't like those.

In this case, Shogo: mobile armour division, where you run around in a giant robot (or on foot) shooting enemies.

Shogo was good, too. It had a really good story line for an FPS. It was a lot of fun! I paid full price for both those games. It was worth it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have Septerra Core, but I have not played it. I started to once...Maybe I should try it again? Anyway, I think I would really like to see a co-op playstyle as far as the multiplayer in DD2 is concerned. I truly look forward to playing with my friends again and playing with alot of these fine forum folks also! That is something I have missed with Divinity. You are right when you say it gets lonely in Divinity. Having the cat in Aleroth was nice, but she didn't leave Aleroth with you. So untill you found a NPC to talk to, you were on your own. When the baddies are cleared out and you find your home. It is empty when you come back after a day (or month)of questing...So I guess I am saying that more friends in the game would be nice. In <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> we are going to have a Death Knight. That will probebly (hopefully) do the trick, as that Death Knight is soulforged to your character. You are obligated to take care of each other (character life dependency). I have a feeling that Death Knight's sometimes require unsavory things in order to survive. So that is gonna add alot of interest to the game, and not so lonely! Yeah! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

I expect (actually, expect is too demanding. Say, rather, that I hope for):

- More roleplaying opportunities. Charisma attribute would be nice, and so is a diplomacy skill.
- Better character creation that allows for more individuality. At least give me different races to choose from.
- Acknowledgement of different genders. In DD, the only place being male or female matters is the inane elven romantic interest.
- Different factions and lots of intrigues, or at least different ways to do quests. See Lionheart.
- Bigger world, longer game.
