I was actually having a long discussinon with someone over this very topic the other day. After a while we both seemed to agree that if someone like me really wanted to 'experiance' a game for all it was worth, I wanted a guide to see "every" last spot, every treestump, every main or side quest. Otherwise I won't have fun. And I can proudly say, "I have never beaten a game without a walkthrough, even the demo I got help on.


i can see your point about seeing the whole game but thats why you play all the waythrough the game more than once. that way you can do tings differently and see things you didnt see last time. also i think that in an rpg game you should be able to make up your own mind about what to do next and discover secrets by yourself, that way it is more of a suprise when you stumble upon a chest or find an artefact. you can use a walk-through if you want but i think it wrecks a game the first time through anyway.
