I know there seems to be universal derision to inbuilt sound, but I havent had a problem. Morrowind runs silky smooth. Even with my nearing 200 mods :P
For what it's worth, we're going with a separate sound card, now: an Audigy, though I'm not sure which he's recommending. That, plus the Athlon 64-bit 3 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, and an Athlon motherboard. Frankly, I wish it was in place yesterday, but I suspect it will be another 2 weeks before it's in place.
