I know this may sound stupid but i thought random equipment was a great idea, I kept me on my toes, it stop alot of people cheating *cough except a few lol*. It was different to lets say in Fall out where i would load up a game or start a new one and would know every item or armor is. At times in DD i admit i was upset not getting a same weapon that i had before but it was a challenge for me that kept me speading hours looking for another decent weapon.
Stuff will still be random in
RiftRunner, don't worry about that. It will just be more selectively random. Hopefully you won't be able to get an
Axe of Thundering Doom from a level 6 Orc.
P.s Sorry for any one reading this while shaking their head thinking "Oh my (Insert religion) this guy needs to get out more".
