uh...i don't know THAT much about the game..geesh..i just play it for funn..

geesh...i really want this game..."The Temple of Elemental Evil" but i'm getting a wide variety of release dates from all the sites. A couple said it came out early at September 16 some say the original release date was September 23 and others are saying that it is really coming out in October and no specific date had been set...so i was just curious...when is this game "actually" coming out??!!

Anyway, it's out on Kazaa. It's like a demo: you get 6 hours with the game and then you need to buy a code.

yes, i DID try it actually...i kept getting this "this page isn't refreshed thing" whatever that means...you get them sometimes..i don't know what to do when i get them...any advice? I think i'm going to buy the game either way...just cuz it looks cool though..so i probably won't need it..do you know when all the other sites might get the demo in?

The file on Kazaa is not a demo. It's the full game (1.3 gig). It's officially sponsored by Atari, though.

Atari's method screams "Pirate me! Pirate me!" to me. Wanna bet how long it takes before illegal codes get distributed? Fun!

Any game is out within ours after release with file sharing programs. I bet the full version of ToEE is already available on EDonkey.
Atari is just attempting something new, maybe it works, maybe it doesn't.

No I didn't say that. On the contrary. I just stated that games are out for download (illegally I might add) hours after being released. I disaprove of this behaviour. Developers deserve that their games are being bought, not stolen.

Myrthos is right except for one thing: most games are available before they are published. Actually you can get a full game online a couple of months before it gets to stores, but since it takes arround a month to get copies of the gold CD, it is possible to get it before anyway.
Of course I know nothing of such things, do I?

It's half between full game and demo. I have no idea why they did it, though...

Just checked: I posted something on 09/21/03 09:49 PM here. Well, ignore it, I was really tired those weekends, I also confused the "overrated" and "overhyped" therms. And when I mean I was tired, I really mean it: I saw smoke before my eyes when I tried to walk.

I'll change my signature pretty soon which should clear things a bit.
