I first played a male warrior, and after that tried all the other different chars... Warrior is still easiest, IMHO.

First played with male survivor and then with male warrior maybe I should try male wizard now

i played it once with female mage but then it became annoying cause their special move isnt that good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />so i changed to male warrior which is v. good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and i probably dont make no sense. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

anyway thats my opinion

I played the release version with a male mage. But in the Beta I played with the Warrior.

But actually I think the starting character isn´t that important (of course cross skilling is in my opinion also some kind of weakening your char). In the end my mage was skilled more than a thief than a wizard and my warrior casted some heavy spells <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

the warriors special move is also the best imho, too bad I couldn't use it since I was a survivor <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

i've played the game with several chars. my first was the female wizard, the second was a male warrior, the third a male survivor with most skills from the warrior. followed by several crosschars:)

i played with a female mage which was a lot of fun, then i started over with a female warrior.

Never change a running system: Female wizard survivor = mainly skills from both and one warrior skill.

If you played with several chars, did you really play the complete game over again (or a huge part of it) or did you just try out another char for some minutes or an hour,?...

I was a female mage - super powerfull <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> - with a combination of mage (mainly) and warrior skills.

I'm going through for the first time (fairly close to finishing, I think. Or at least to getting to the Wilderness bits), and I'm playing as a female warrior. Though I've invested more skill points in both wizard and survivor skills than I have in warrior skills.
And even though I haven't tried the other special moves, I'm thinking that they'd have to go some to beat the warrior one, which has got me out of one or two tight spots, especially now I've got the stamina to keep doing it for about half an hour <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
