As to graphics, yes it's no Dungeon Siege, but then again it's not that bad in my opinion and there are a whole lot more mods made with NWN then there are made with Dungeon Siege.

Your point being...? The quantity of mods and the quality of graphics are separate issues. NWN's graphics look horribly outdated and it still manages to run poorly now and then -- on machines that can run Dungeon Siege perfectly well. It bespeaks different levels of competence on the developers' part, I think.

You mean that if you don't understand the tools, you can't use it. It's like wishing to be able to use a C compiler without understanding the language. How dear they to bring out tools that require someone to learn how to use them.

Yeah? And did the tool come with any kind of manual? Even a leaflet of the basics? No, and no. Oh, I'm not the one suffering from lack of knowledge here, by the way. I know some basic C++, and can grope my way around the scripting tool. But what about the majority of gamers that don't, and don't care to?

There is a whole lot of crap made out there.

For one, you misinterpreted my comment. I'm saying that most player-made contents are better than the official one, i.e., the atrocious official campaign. Secondly, of course there's a lot of crap. Player-made contents are allowed to be crap, expected, even. They aren't getting paid, now, are they? They aren't professional programmers (most aren't, anyway, though I'm sure there's an exception or two). But the fact is, there are many, many mods (and tilesets, and textures, and models...) that I consider way, way superior to the official campaign and the SoU campaign. Elegia Eternum, Dreamcatcher, Art of Thanaturge, the CODI stuff, to name but a few. Hell, even the Dragonlance graphics are looking a lot better than the lackluster eyesore that comes with the original tilesets.
