Bypassing the introductory movies

In there must be an option to bypass the introductory movies.
After watching the CDV Tut-Ankh-Amune gold-mask and the Larian Dog a couple of times in one really feels an urge to press escape / click a mouse button to bypass those movies when reloading the game.
In there must be an option to bypass those movies where it is enabled by default for the first run and disabled by default for ever after. Those who wish to see them again may turn the option ON and when they are satisfied they may check the box to turn them OFF.
Please, pretty please.

yes i agree with this as after the first few times of enduring the intro movies, gamers usually want 2 go straight into the game & play.

rather than making gamers having to edit the link to paste in parameters (such as divinity.exe -intro), it should be under OPTIONS where one can simply click to enable intro movies or not.

nice suggestion, DAD.

Hmm... I swear I posted here yesterday. Maybe I was tired so I accidently posted it in another topic?

DAD, what's your version? UK or US?
I have the US version and I can skip the movies by right-clicking or by esc.

BTW, what Larian have to do with a dog running in a desert???

the desert I don't know, but Larian studios is named after Swen's dog which he called Lar, hence his nick on the forum as well.

yeah, come to think of it, i don't recall seeing a larian dog in any of the intro. maybe i've been skipping them too much 2 recall any.

i think skipping the movies by hitting ESC key is ok. just that there are some of us (ok, so it's just me) who are too lazy to even hit that button.

larian, help us to be our lazy selves.

It is a few clicks every time you start the game, though, with a short delay as it starts each video. When I install a game, if there is no option to bypass the intro after watching it once, I will check if the videos are on the hard drive, and move them if so (to be deleted if the game goes straight to the main menu without complaining).

I found it a little annoying when Divinity did not save the 'always run' setting, and that is only a single keystroke per session to set.

IIRC, one could set not to show the intros in one of the config files in Divinity.

Its more common for "famous" people than you may think.

From the script of Indiana Jones -The last crusade
Henry Jones, Senior: What did you find, Junior?
Indy: Junior?! Dad...
Sallah: Please... what does it always mean, this... this "Junior?"
Henry: That's his name. Henry Jones, Junior.
Indy: I like Indiana.
Henry: We named the dog Indiana.
Brody: May we go home now, please?
Sallah: (To Indy) The dog!? (Laughs) You are named after the dog...
Indy: (Embarrassed) I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog.

Well, there's your chance. In november finally the brandnew polished DVD of Indy 1-3 comes out with lots of additional material.

Is that Germany or Belgium, Marian?
In Belgium they're useally "late" with new CD's/DVD's.

I only saw the first two 5 or 6 times and the third 3 times. Still have them on VHS. Guess I'm old fashioned.
