the first time I entered stormfist castle I small charater came up to me and stole my teleporter and I have been given the task of retreving them I have been looking with out aq single clue. is this a normal quest should I just keep looking?

You will find your pyramids later in the game.
You have several quests to solve before to meet again the Imp who stole your pyramids.

Rescue Zandalor (castle treasure room sewer entrance) and let him teleport you somewhere to get your teleporter stones back (after clearing that smallish area).
