My boyfriend had the same problem... one day he came home VERY excited... he found a keyboard (black even!) that has no Windows key!! He loves it.

Prior to that what he'd do is remove the key, break the part off that made contact and then put the key back on. The key was lower than the rest, but it fixed the problem and didn't leave an empty socket.

Also, if I remember correctly it seems to me that I once had a keyboard that came with software that allowed me to disable my Windows key... but I obviously don't have it anymore <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
