I have the Divine Divinity demo, and appearantly it's version 0.935 or something similar (something below 1.0), and quicksave doesn't work.

Is it possible to get it to work in this demo?

The keylist.txt file is like this, there's nothing for quicksave in there:

# List of keybindings. File automatically generated
# Format is as follows :
# UniqueID < 0 for an Event, > 0 for a floating icon
# Flags Combination of SHIFT, ALT, CTRL
# Keyname for VK_* keys

I wonder why the feature lists proudly sais "Quick-Save option", while quicksave already was in games like Wolfenstein 3D, and then it even isn't working?

Thanks.

I don't remember the specifics of the demo very well, but ctrl-S and ctrl-L are the default hot keys for quick save/load in the full game. Is the hotkey section of the options available in the demo?

They were not bragging about having a quick save; this is a checkbox feature, that people look for.

The demo was released several months before the game, and is based on older code. Some features/artwork were not complete at the time, or just not included. At the end of the demo you can save and reload the game, then continue to other areas. You will need to use control-click to attack, since the artwork for some of the monsters was not included, so they are invisible.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess the feature isn't available yet in the demo, there's a Keys menu in the options, but only a few features are listed, without quicksave.

Divine Divinity looks to be a nice game, tho I'm still getting used to it's controls after playing Neverwinter Nights <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

BTW, the beginning (demo) and end of the game are a little heavy on the hack-and-slash. The full game has more quests, including a couple elaborate ones, once you leave Aleroth.
