What's the best One Handed Sword you guys ever found? I usually play with the Sword of Choas, but since I've got the Dragon Shield now, I don't want to let its bonuses go. Suggestions?

There are loads of good one handed swords. Check the smith in the merchand area regularly. Or the dwarven smith in the halls sometimes.

The best one I got was the Nobleman's sword (holy items quest).

Holy Items? How do I start that quest?

Actually the two best one-handers are the noblemans sword (better known as the holy sword) and the sword of the gods (but that one is in the wastelands).
Although stats are random, these are usually the best ones.

Thanks for the hints, I finished it. Glad I decided to ask this before I hit the Waste Lands!

The Singing Blade can also be a good 1handed sword. It's random though.

Sorry, Singing Blade is a 2-hander - but a good one if you're lucky . Kiya

I always fight with pnehanded swords and I use most of the time [nocando] swords that do mana and/or life drain those things are really strong and if you train your Shield bash skill you will always win

Ditto to that, but it really depends on what gets rolled up. There's plenty of potential swords in the game.

Best one hander I've ever found is on the warrior I'm currently playing, it has something like 50-97 dmg, no mods on it, I bought it from Geoff. I'll probably edit this post later and include a screenshot or something. screenshot

Screenshots: Default key is CTRL + F 11 - these shots are in Divinity/Run/capture as png - have to be converted to jpg and can then be uploaded to your webpage. If you don't have webspace - I can host it for you - just PM me. Kiya

Ok I just got a really good nobleman's sword, with 61-90 damage! (screenshot here) I don't really care about the deathblow and elemental damage (and thank god I didn't get freeze on it), but I really like the high damage, and the life/mana bonus, and the fact that it has 3 sockets (or charm holes or whatever you call them). Not bad for a 1 handed sword, eh? I spent like a half an hour reloading until I got it, but it was definitely worth it!
