Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Suggestions When is DD2 due?

I have heard this before but I forgot, when is divine divinity 2 due to be released?

Uh, I´m afraid we´ll have to wait quite a while for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />2! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

But <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> will be out in the first quarter of 2004! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />

Oh, sorry, that was riftrunner I heard of, oh well.

Riftrunner is already out but isn't it like not out anymore because beyond divinity is riftrunner and it was all a mistake or something????

And Divine divinity 2 will be great because looking at the next genereation graphics the game will be sweet!!!!! i am so looking forward to the game and I truely hope the suggestions forum has some of their ideas in it cause they got alot of good ones!!!!

BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T MAKE THE GAME THAT BIG ITS LIKE 10 CD'S!!!!

During development a couple years ago (when the original posts were made) the game was called Riftrunner. Before release it was renamed to Beyond Divinity, in part to make its relationship with Divine Divinity more obvious. Search the Announcements forum if you want.

you didn't say it was renamed after released.

You question was a little unclear, and I thought it more likely you meant released after renamed. It would have been more obvious if you'd said '...but like a little after that they renamed it'.
Anyway, it would be difficult to rename a game after release, since the CDs and packaging would all have to be redone, and then you would have different versions in stores, etc.

Anyways so nobody knows when dd2 is out???

Current informatuio nis the screenshots of the "next generation engine" and that we'll have to wait longer for DD2 than expected because of that. This is all we know now.
