take it out, use the copy item trick, then put it back in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

@Kag, keep it and go away from the stone, but be remembered to keep a savegame before you go with the sword...

I say pull it out, kill the ghost and put it back in. There are better swords than that one and you get experience by putting it back.

I am in blood
Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er.

@Macbeth: of course this is the best solution, but I wanted to annoy him a bit... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Hi there,
may I ask how is it possible to do a copy item trick?

Follow these steps

1: Save the game, preferably under quicksave.

2: Drag the item out of your inventory onto a place it can't go (so a big red X appears on it)

3: Whilst still holding it down, load the game using quickload.

4: When it is loaded, you should have duplicated the item you dragged, both should be in your inventory, or 1 in your inventory and one near the place you dragged it.

5: This can be done with more than one item, e.g.: Drag 2 potions and do the duplication trick and you will have 4.

For stackable items, there is a quicker way;
Drag a stack out of (or into) your inventory (or container) and hold down the control key before dropping. This will bring up the split stack pane; type in a negative number and hit enter (the checkmark will be greyed out). This can also be done in the trade window.
