Hi all, I've been lurking on the boards for a couple months now - read it everyday, so I think I know most of what can go wrong in the game. So of course I've run into a new problem. This is my third time thru, and I'm mainly playing it again because I haven't yet got the level-up jug in the magical land of the bees. So my problem is this- while I'm fighting the wasps, the queen bee comes and tells me I didn't kill any wasps for them and that she's mad, then the "Mage" wasps comes and I have to kill him. Then I wander around looking for gold keys to open the jugs, but when I get near the second gate, the screen stops as if there is going to be another encounter like when the queen bee 'thanks' me for not helping - but no one comes. I've even waited for 15 real time minutes and no one shows up. I've re-laoded five times and the same thing happens everytime. Oh, and I still haven't found the right key for the level-up jug - at least I don't think I have because sometimes I have untried keys when the game pauses for that "missing" encounter. Any suggestions? Thanks...

Have you tried going over from outside the magic world?

what about helping the magician, not the queen?

the level up jug is on that pic. And there's always one not being able to open even if you have all keys. Did you kill a friendly wasp after the fight? This one drops the level-up key.

How did you kill the bees? I didn't take an area spell, took them out one by one.

Thanks for the help! Kiya, you had the right idea - I deleted all the files in the directory mentioned - then reloaded and everything went smooth. I also got the level-up jug! (Now I need a reason to finish the game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ) BTW, I'm a warrior, so I only use my trusty sword and I was careful to target only the wasps...

A level up jug??? I missed that! That's it, I'm starting again!

i nice trick you can do is to drag and drop the level up jug
in your inventory.
you can open it wanever you want. ideal if your exp bar is more ten 50% of a next level. and you can get the max exp out of te game.

I have never tried it before but would the duplication cheat work on the jug? If it worked you could level up whenever you wanted!

If this works, you'd have to duplicate the jug and the key as well - please, try it out <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I will try it out, but I am no-where near the garden at the moment, I could get there through the in-between world of verdistis.

To get the cheat to level up via the level-up jug, follow these steps EXACTLY!

1: Get the key for the jug (kill a nearby friendly wasp)

2: Drag the jug into your inventory

3: Save the game

4: Use the duplication cheat on the key

5: Save the game

6: Use the duplication cheat on the jug

7: Save the game

8: Drop the jugs in seperate places, not together (if there is a 2 above it in your inventory hold down ctrl whilst dragging it)

9: Drop 1 key, just 1

10: Use the key in your inventory in one jug

11: After getting level-up, pick up the other key and use it in the other jug (preferably after you duplicate them again)

12: Make sure you leave with at least 2 jugs and 2 keys in your inventory, or you will likely experience problems and the jug could disappear.

13: Always duplicate the jug before you use this cheat, if you use the last one, this cheat will never work again(unless you re-load the nearest save)

How do you duplicate?

To duplicate items you use the following cheat.

1: Save the game

2: Drag the item from your inventory onto a space where a red X appears on it.

3: Before you let go, load the game (I recommend you use quicksave and quickload)

4: When your game is re-loaded, you should have 2 of the item in your inventory (if not, look around the area where the X appeared on it)

This is how the duplication cheat works, I hope it helps.

I found the key without having to kill a friendly wasp (unless the ctrl key still targets it, and I didn't notice the green cross on the mini-map).

I killed the wasp a bit south of the jug, it had the key.

Aw geez you guys got me again. Bee Garden, Queen bees and jugs.
I don't neccesarily want an all out spoiler but am curious what area of the game this might *Bee* :P in?

I haven't hit the Wastelands, Castle or found the burial ground as I got sidetracked lusting after that Larian Armor quest.
Where be the Bees please?

U can only meet bees if u are gathering Council of 7. When u go to imp member hi teleports u away to other world, & there are bees & wasps. Ah when u went there u will see <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

You have to gather the imp council member, Gamegurl. Then you'll get teleported to this area: Touch the crystal ball the imp in the Ducal Inn/Verdistis offers you. This only works if you have already been in the council hall and activated the scrying statues there.

As you haven't been in the Castle yet, you can't do this quest, just keep on playing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

There is another way to get into the garden, but it breaks a quest though.
