I like seeing the signatures, as some have already said (including Soul) there are interesting links to fansites. If the sig pics are smaller, I don't mind them, some are really pretty. But if they're too large or too flashy in their colours, I tend to overlook a short post.
Coloured word signatures are ok, IMO, I can see fansite links at one go. And your size/colour is exactly what I meant, Goldy: Catchy, easy to find and click on.

The only thing I don't know is: How do these additional infos (sig pics) slow down for the 56k modem owners. This site is fast on my home PC, but when I take the public internet ISDN PC at the office, it's very slow.
