way don't get any further?
Like a woman could get pregnent?
Our your male hero looses his hair, and can buy a nice wigg ?
Yes, why not?
I've always missed this kind of stuff in CRPGs (and let's say I'm not such a experienced player... I guess I turned a believer with the consecutive playing of Arcanum-Divinity-BG2...that was a trip, man! ).
No better experience than a RPG that would take in account gender and age. If you start in your twenties you are strong and fast, get a lot of experience at first, but you are real crap in a world of dragons and barbarians. If you are 35 you're not what you used to, but you've started with more points to allocate in skills... you are some level 10... but watch that decay, man.
If you are 60 you maybe an elf or a sorcerer. A 20-year mage should be almost a joke, however the old man with the staff should get A LOT of respect.
If you take the character with some years you can find many known people as NPCs, have a more complex background, a reputation, friends, enemies... start as a teenager and you're clean.
Combined with gender (yes, go to the brothel and risk pregnancy, not to mention other possible side-effects...) it wouldn't be game inmersion, it would be a damn apnea diving !!
