Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Demon of Lies issues; no end cut scene

I can't seem to figure out what is going on. I've fought the Demon 6 times and can't get a cut scene. I've followed the advice of various walk-throughs and never used anything but melee to kill him. Yet, for some reason, the game still keeps freezing up and flashing to the credits without the end movie. Anyone have any ideas?

Of course I have to ask, what patch are you running, and if it's not the newest, I'd recommend updating. Otherwise, maybe you don't have the CD in the drive (no-CD hack)?

Krazrussian did you add a sentence in your registry to skip the intro? Maybe this is responsible?

it must be my copy of the game. I have an into movie though, but the latest patch didn't work with my copy (although I have an actual copy of the game, don't use no-cd hack). This must be the reason I guess, no idea why I didn't think of it myself.

You haven't downloaded the patch for the wrong language, have you? In what way didn't it work?

Hmm, are you playing with Win XP or 2000? Did you have administrative rights for the patch? There is sadly no warning if you installed it without.
