raze- and your boogers freeze to your face (those that don't freeze in your nose)!! and your eyelids freeze together! minnesota gets pretty cold too. i remember school being cancelled because of the -60 windchill. thats -15 to you metric people. but then it also gets up into the 90's in summer (40's?), and humid as crap.

I have been in athens too for a couple of days, visited the acropolis and such <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
It was really nice, but hot though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Ahh hot weather.... My fav!!

In such temperatures, we don´t go to Acropolis <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> We all go to sea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

And we stay there all day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

hello lucretia, i'll be off to Kos for the third year on the bounce, hot, lovely hotel and great resort, couldn't recommend it enough, made some great greek friends as well, Demetris and Costas who run the Delon bar in Lampi.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> I thought it was funny moving to a place that canceled school at -40ºC, from a place where the bus might be an hour late then, if the driver forgot to plug in the second block heater (keeps the engine warm enough to start, for those who live places that don't get below -15ºC or so). During that hour, our lunchboxes would be stuck in the snow bank while we had a snowball fight.

Ya...they don't close the schools in Edmonton, till at LEAST -30 degrees. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I am going back home to 5 feet of snow (at least in Calgary) and -10 or more...it is going to be a 20 degree temp change...brrrrr....

"in winter when the temparature falls to 0oC we think that we moved to North Pole"

So I guess you've never walked up a snow drift onto the roof of a house?
If I ever visit Greece, it would have to be during the winter, and people would look at me funny for walking around with a t-shirt on. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
-40 oC is pretty cold; really cold is when spit freezes before it hits the ground. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Nope! I have never walked up on a snow drift... We saw snow only the last two years and It was something that we were not prepared to see... And still it never got that much. You know walk out of your house and have to clean the snow in order to leave for work...

Well it will be funny to see you in a t-shirt in the winter <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Hello to you too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Kos is such a beautiful island but unfortunatelly I have never been there. As I said before it is cheap for people from other countries to travel to Greece but for Greeks it is very expensive. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" />

I have been to IOS (great island with over 150 bars. Everyone is drunk there <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />)

I haeve been to Agina (it is preety close to Athens and has very friendly people)

Crete is my fatherland. And I love every inch of it...

I also went to NAXOS (There except the wonderful beaches you will taste the most good cheese and you can see the most great .... doors Yes you read correctly old doors to every house which are made by hand and they are considered now as art. You can also se the Great door. It is the place that Theseus returning to Athens damped Ariadne. Men... and Greek ancient mythology)

These are my only travels <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Hope I will eventually manage to go to Scotland and Ireland one day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Hi jvb
What's new about your driving lessons ?
How many persons did you kill ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
Will you have your driving licence test soon ?
Will you get a brand new car as a Christmas present ?

I'd wish <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> (about the present)

I am killing fewer people now, only about 3-4 a lesson, so I'm impriving <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

But my instructor says he won't allow me to go on exam untill 3524 because I can't drive <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

The mean bully <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

I just think you are still hitting too FEW people. You have to try to hit everybody. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />
Maybe that will work.
