I recently got a new comp with win xp on it and i was wondering if i needed a patch to play it or not i know some games have them so i figured i would ask first play later

Technically, no, but I highly recommend it. Divine Divinity was released with a lot of gameplay bugs due to being rushed by CDV. It's worth the 11Mb download. It is too easy to break quests without this.

BTW, make sure you install the patch from an account with administrative privileges.

make sure to put it on a admin profile, but since its new you'll probably have that either way.

what do you mean adminastrative priveliges

That you are logged in as the system administrator in your XP!
(Automatically when it is your XP, but on other computers you could be only user but not system administrator...)

The privileges are that you can alter all XP functions, which you can not if you are only user...
