cheating/hacking cannot be prevented, not even by law enforcement. come on, the item editor (especially DAD's) was created out of love for the game, not circumventing any copy protection there is though nothing is impossible.
sigh all u want but game is played in any way a person wants to. if u like it rough, or u like it slow, or u just like the sadistic difficulty in it, who's to tell u that it should be otherwise? even blizzard games(especially RTS) has official cheat codes for those who want them.
but then we're talking about multiplayer, right? so i'll go back on topic.
"IMO mutliplayer with maybe 3-6 other people always beats a singleplayer game hands down." rugster
well, that's your poison, dude but some of us still prefer solid singleplayer gameplay as that has nothing to do with external factors such as
1. people that u have to interact for multiplayer sessions. potential bad experience if u meet the wrong type of gamers. & not to forget, myself whose majority of friends are non-gamers, so ..... .
2. lags. there are quite a number of us who are still on 56k modem & may have no plan on getting a faster line as it's not economically viable or beneficial. plus, being in malaysia where my ISP still sucks monkey balls doesn't give much motivation for online gaming.
3. time. even having fast internet line & friends who are gamers, finding time to play together is quite a feat, especially for working adults from all kinds of location & employment.
"Especially if you want to guaruntee (hate trying to spell that word) no cheating, hacking etc.. " rugster
it's guarantee. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
since multiplayer component will be implemented in DD2, i hope that they do have a closed session option for gamers who want to play among honourable players.
