Howdy gang....
Yes, I took the dreaded plunge into the Castle. I knew that little punk was going to irk me dreadfully and I was not wrong.
*growls*

Ok, question one. Does everyone get thrown out of the Castle or was it something I said?
lol
I bit my tounge but was a bit snide with the little *blank*.

Tossed out after the cutscene with Orcs I was. All the Merchants were there stabbing me in the back as I got tossed AND lost 15 reputation.

Is this the norm? I am now supposed to find a way back in?
All I want is my Weezard back and well I'd like to be spoiled a little or alot.
I can't go to the cellars, I think this is where my Weezard is imprisoned.
Can't uses any spells including lockpick.
yeah I'm a little grumpy about this...must say something for the script writing.
Good job Larian.

Oh and please whats up with my portal stone and the Imp who took it?

thanks in advance

You always get thrown out; it's a plot device. It sucks, though, knowing that I could have blasted a few orcs in seconds.
To rescue Zandalor, you have to go through the sewers. Head to the Ducal Inn in Verdistis to get more info about this, or take the long way and explore the sewers through the entrace in Ars Magicana.

Edit: Also, you'll find the imp with your pyramids once you rescue Zandalor.

You can use magic (ie Lockpick) in the cellar of the building in the north west part of the castle complex. You can also toss everything out the front gate (I stored all my loot in a chest first).

There is a +10 reputation boost when entering the castle, so the net result is 'only' -5.

After you get the quest from Janus to pick some flowers, you can (save first) talk to him 4 or 5 times until he turns hostile, then attack him. This will break the main plot, so you must re-load a previous save, and even if you get him down to zero hit points he will not die.

I've been tossing everything over the back castle wall, that seems to work all right. Hopefully I'll still be able to pick them up. And pick the locks of all the chests that are now down there.

lol
Throw the stuff over the back wall.
heh..why not.

Raze, I like your idea of maybe ahemm, smacking him around a little bit for fun I must admit.
*grins*

righty right and thanks for the pointers. Sewers are already clear so lets see if I can get in there, the cellar that is.

Actually, it wasn't my idea; somebody else found this. I briefly tried to see if he could be attacked, but didn't think to talk to him repeatedly to get him to turn hostile (the first couple of quests you can deliberately annoy him, but I don't recall being able to do so repeatedly, and didn't try after getting the quest for the flowers).

I never thought of trying to kill him. Seemed a bit of a daft idea to me, considering he is the Duke and claimed to be the Divine One. Did you know, it took me ages to work out that I was going to be the divine one? I never considered it really..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Most of the castle guards turn hostile if the duke attacks you, and you can't kill the duke, he's one of those invincible characters, you can get them to the lowest hp then they stop losing them.

smiles...

Perhaps an invincible one but I do say the smak down re-load sounds great fun and I shall use that save game to do just that. The plot got me last night.
Pretty compelling.

I kinda had him pegged as the evil infested thing he's become but then I am terrible for that and figuring out movie plots.

Steal their thrones too.

That and the organ from the easter egg area are all I've gotten around to furnishing my house with so far. Except that the thrones aren't in my house yet, they're still behind the back wall of the castle. But anyway...

They got annoyed when I stole the second throne and the seat, but the complaints of corpses concern me not.
