hiya , im having a bit of trouble with the "retrive the axe of stone" quest, at first it was simple enough, to get the dwarven council representitive to join i gotta talk to gregor to see whats up... so i go ahead and give that drunken old booze drinking engine some more fuel and then yadda yadda damn elven thiefs steeling our axe *hic* burp* yadda yadda blah *hic* blah blah blah... so i check out the imprisoned elf and get his story and to get a whiff of his innocence and according to http://www.planetdivinity.com/inclu...PKITSID=aa95882475d6c2abce4df6e8165557d7 tells me to go back and give gregor more ale ( like he needs it ) and to talk to him some more... well i did, and theres absolutly no new dialog, not even a way to give him more ale... did i miss somthing??? cuz at this point im absolutly sure i did everything i was supposed to do, i even checked the entire village to be sure of myself, nothing turned up. so what do i need to do to order up a fresh choice of dialog with the drunken fool? or better yet WHERE is the axe of stone?

Axe of Stone is in the Dwarven Halls, SW area = mine entrance. Look for the cave in there: entrance to 2nd lvl.

map for the 1st lvl - the next pic shows the 2nd lvl then. If you don't have Gregor's password: kill the sentry gives more XP

Hi guys,

Um, okay, so you've told us where the axe is... without being told, how were we meant to find out? If we didn't get the boozer dwarf drunk immediately after he told us that he'll tell us a story if we get him more mead/ale/whatever, would we be screwed? If so, that sounds suspiciously like a bug (first one I've found, actually, but then I picked DD up 2 weeks ago and had v1.34 loaded before I even started playing).

Is it a bug?

Thanks for the advice anyway.

Cheers from South Africa

No, you're not obliged to meet with the drunken mayor of Glenborus to get the Axe of Stone quest finished. In fact, I completed the game three times and had never talked to the guy about it. If you've talked to Eolus and the imprisoned elf, that's all you should need to get the dwarven mines opened up.
Although, I can't remember exactly how you're supposed to know to go to the dwarven mines...maybe I just read a quest guide.

accually i think it was just a spoiler mistake, i was reading the quest under - link - http://www.planetdivinity.com/inclu...PKITSID=aa95882475d6c2abce4df6e8165557d7 - end - and pretty much he tells you to do is talk to him twice.. WHEN we first meet and after i talk to the imprisoned elf, was misleading cuz i thought the end of the quest would be after the conversation, so you see how that would be sorta misleading without telling you that you accually DO need to go to the dwarven halls... heh basicly *typo* /nod. lates
