when would be the best time to enter stormfist castle?

as soon as you get invited or do as many quests as possible before hand <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

In my opinion it is best to wait as long as possible befor entering stormfist castle. Take a look to Verdistis and dark forest first.

Same here: I went in at lvl 35.

I entered after doing many of the quests in Rivertown and Verdistis, and clearing the Rivertown sewers (which made a later quest a little faster), but before going to the Dark Forest.

I left it 'til last. All that was left were council and plot related quests. And the never disappearing Tingalf quest. And the "cure the third villager" quest (I didn't want to pickpocket, kill or cheat.).
