Did you go back to the council and look and the scrying things again for both of them?

mardaneus is rely easy just kik the crap out of the witch in alroth see drops a key tak it en than get to mardenaes his place and open the door

To find out more about Goemoe, you just need to scry again at the Lizard statue.
IIRC, the key to Mardaneus' house is to be found in Lanilor's home, on a shelf.
