Don't make fun of my Avy will ya???
What is not good about her, beside the fact that she needs to slash the place and she is not dressed like a slut?
She writes her own songs, sings better than Britney, Christina and sorts and she is the sort of type I like, category of Pink, Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Metallica, Nirvana...I like rebels grrrrrrrrr...

This comes from the sountrack of "Queen of the Damned"
Jay Gordon of Orgy - Slept So Long Lyrics

Walking
Waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping
And hating
Things that I can't bear

Did you think it's cool
To walk right up
To take my life
And f**k it up
Well did you?
Well did you?

I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise(surprise)
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside

Walking, Waiting
Alone without a care
Hoping
And hating
Things that I can't bear

Did you think it's cool
To walk right up
To take my life
And f**k it up
Well did you?

I hate you!

I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
And touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside

I've slept so long without you
It's tearing me apart too
How'd it get this far
Playing games with this old heart
I've killed a million petty souls
But I couldn't kill you

I've slept so long without you

I see hell in your eyes
Taken in by surprise
Touching you makes me feel alive
Touching you makes me die inside

And no i am not habouring hatred... but for some reason this song has been a favourite since the first time i heard it..... it just has SOMETHING in that i find so touching....

Dear Death this was a good one indeed Joke that is...
Yeah Queen of the Damned was not a good movie but think about it. At least it had a better soundtrack than Vanilla Sky...

My Immortal

by By Evanescence
my immortal
i'm so tired of being here
suppressed by all of my childish fears
and if you have to leave
i wish that you would just leave
because your presence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me

you used to captivate me
by your resonating light
but now i'm bound by the life you left behind
your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me

i've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
and though you're still with me
i've been alone all along

Fish Heads

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

In the morning, laughing happy fish heads
In the evening, floating in the soup

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Ask a fish head anything you want to
They won't answer, they cant talk

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

I took a fish head out to see a movie,
Didn't have to pay to get it in

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

They can't play baseball, they don't wear sweaters
They're not good dancers, they don't play drums

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Rolly Polly fish heads are never seen drinking cappuccino in
Italian restaurants with Oriental women.
Yeeaahh

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Yum!

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yumm!

Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up
Yummmm!

Yeeaahh

@ Galadriel: Never really heard Avril Lavigne... But from what I've heard, she doesn't rock, she punks (as Lews so kindly pointed out...). Likes her better than most popularmusicisians (probably misspelled that...) now adays (which meansd I don't really have na oppinion about her).
And about Evanescence, I've seen them live (on the TV), and their singer can't sing, which is NO good when it comes to music...

And now, some lyrics by Smashing Pumpkins (if you havn't tried them out Galadriel, maybe you should, they're great).

Bullet with Butterfly wings (from Mellon Collie and the Infinitive Sadness btw...)

The world is a vampire, sent to drain
Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames
And what do I get, for my pain
Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game
Even though I know
I suppose I'll show
All my cool and cold
like old job

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

Now I'm naked, nothing but an animal
But can you fake it, for just one more show
And what do you want, I want to change
And what have you got
When you feel the same
Even though I know
I suppose I'll show
All my cool and cold
like old job

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

Tell me I'm the only one
Tell me there's no other one
Jesus was the only son
Tell me I'm the chosen one
Jesus was the only son for you

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a

And I still believe that I cannot be saved
And I still believe that I cannot be saved
And I still believe that I cannot be saved
And I still believe that I cannot be saved

Yeah, I used to listen to the SP in my darker past, but now I'm more into New Age and songs with lyrics that means something to me. That's ok if Evanesence can't really sing, but that particular song has a deeper meaning and that is why I choose it. You can of course interpreting a song or a lyric like you want of course so , it's like art for example Salvator Dali. Some like it and some others hate it.

Stella: Today I'd say "That's the worst movie I've ever seen and I've seen Spiderman 2". In fact, my Worst Movie Ever is being contested between Spiderman 2 and QotD.

Quote

:o I can't believe you like QotD being an Anne Rice fan. I can't even describe what I felt after watching QotD. I turned off the movie after the first scene with the Queen and Lestat. If I owned the DVD, I'd break it in four pieces and microwave them... Ugh...

Okay, to put those thoughts away, here's a good song:

It doesn't hurt me.
Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
You, it's you and me.

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
If I only could, oh...

You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder.
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts baby.

Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don't we?
You, it's you and me.
It's you and me, we won't be unhappy.

CHORUS

You,
It's you and me,
It's you and me won't be unhappy.

"C'mon, baby, c'mon c'mon darling,
Let me steal this moment from you now.
C'mon, angel, c'mon, c'mon, darling,
Let's exchange the experience, oh..."

CHORUS

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems.

(Repeat x2)

"If I only could, I'd be running up that hill.
If I only could, I'd be running up that hill."

And that was "Running Up That Hill", not the original Kate Bush version but the Placebo cover. In my humble opinion, it's much more emotional, deep and haunting than the original version. Of course, that might be just me.

That's one of the great things with the Pumpkins! They write lyrics... Erm, wrote, but anywhay they wrote lyrics that means something to me. The first two Pumpkins lyrics I posted here was Tonight and Ugly. Tonight speaks to my hope of a brighter future (Believe in me that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain), and if you've been picked on because of your looks, you'll really know what Ugly's about.

And add to this that their music is great (espessially the guitars), I think they're one of the best groups ever.

Not to mention that they released a giant 2(or 3)-CD album FOR FREE before they broke up as a symbol of the grudge they held against the recording companies.

Still, Melon Collie & The Infinite Saddness is their best album.

I'm not shure I agree on the fact that Mellon Collie is their best album... Siamese Dream is one of the most solid albums ever made. There is no bad songs on it, there is no averange songs on it. The whorst songs on it are good, the best ones are awsome (Cherub Rock, Today, Hummer, Geek U.S.A, Mayonnaise). I havn't lisened too much on Mellon Collie, but for now I feel there are some drops of quality, and in other ways, Siamese Dream is keeping the tempo up a LOT better that Mellon Collie, there are allmost no songs you feel is just slow (possibly Luna, but that is the last song, placed there to finnish it all off). But then again I havn't really lisened THAT much to Mellon Collie (got Mellon Collie for X-mass, and I have been busy doing a couple of other things).

And about the free album, I think they weren't allowed to release it, so they just gave a few copies to friends to spread out. Maybe I should download it...
