If you wear an item with the magic barrier skill and don't have skill pts of your own already = you might get it. Your res. shoots up high with every save and reload and then suddenly crashes into high negative numbers. Every bee kills you at mere sight, same goes for traps etc.
Then you can get the stamina bug - even if you throw away the Cursed Halberd, your stamina might remain on zero.

I played the game several times at 1.0029 and was lucky (cautious advance in game play) - but as I said, the 1.0034 is very comfortable IF
you have administrative rights on patch install (Win XP/2000)
you don't have background proggies running during install
