Most merchants will let you sell the wares they offer. Umm, for other stuff, Im pretty sure that woman in the poor quarter who lets you sleep in her house will buy just about anything! Remember where you sell stuff though, you never know what will be useful later. Oh, and keep hold of your guts, you'll need them.

You put spells in his mage book???? What do you mean? A mage (in this case Dak'kon I assume) gets new spells when he levels up. You can make a selection of these spells to 'learn'. You learn while you are resting. So if you selected the spells you want to learn from your book than you have to rest fist before you can use them.

Cheers Myrthos, Dak'kon it is, i have put some spells that he did not have in his book by using the "use" button, they have gone in his book on the right side of the page, but after resting he only learns the spells he started with, how come he does not learn the new spells if they are in his book?
One is a "ice spell" another is a "strength spell" and so on.
They are in his book as little square diagrammes not cicles like his other spells?
Ooohh, i'm rather upset that i can't use these spells, two of them came from the giant skeletons in the Mortuary after they crumbled to the floor.

Dak'kon is a great warrior <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If I am not mistaken there are circles of magic knowledge, at least this is true for our githzerai Dak'kon and his Circles of Zerthimon.

In the left of the spellbook you can see spells, you have memorized, on the right are spells available to you in this circle for memorization. As you grow stronger more spells become available to you for memorization (in the left of the spellbook).
So, now to memorize new spell from right you need free slots in the left. Either you lvl and get new slots or you empty some slots that are already memorized (just click on memorized spell and you will have option to dememorize it).

Hope this helps.

I wonder whether he can use them at all ! ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Wasn't there some sort of "classes" for spells ?

Some mild spoilers.

Some of the "scrolls" can only be scribed by Dak'kon or TNO. The spells you get out of the Circle of Zerthimon are such spells. Ignus, for instance, will not be able to use those spells, and neither will Nordom.

There are no "classes" for spells. There are just "schools" like evocation, transmutation, enchantment, illusion, necromancer, and so on. All mages in PS:T are generalist mages, so there's no need to worry about a restricted school. There are also clerical spells, useable only by a priest. There is only one joinable NPC in game who is a priest.

To memorise an already scribed spell, make sure that you have free slots for spells of that level, and left-(or was it right?)click the spell. The spell's icon will now appear on the left side of the spellbook. Rest.

Intelligence plays a part in how many spells you can scribe. Dak'kon's INT isn't all that great, although tattoos will remedy that. Me, I used Dak'kon as a support mage, as I almost always play TNO as a mage himself. Dak'kon shines much better as a fighter (with some protective spells on plus tattoos that enhance CON/DEX/STR).

How frustrating having all those spells without being able to use them!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" />

Yes, either wait till lvlup or replace existing spells with new ones.

And make sure to talk a lot to Dak'kon and find out about his 'story', there are several benefits in doing that.
All characters that can be in your party have a background story which are very interesting to read and sometimes are useable also.

Have Morte taunt black abishais with his Litany of Curses. Commence the beating; magical weapons/spells only. (Dak'kon's karach blade, for one.) 7000 XP a shot isn't too bad, especially early in the game. And the abishais will respawn and respawn. The gift that keeps on giving.

...that is, aside from getting good XP, the abishais drop some minor goodies that you could sell. You could also go around and Litany the thugs, too, for the loot.

If he's equipped with certain sets of teeth, yes.

The abishais aren't that fast. Have someone who can't cast spells/not equipped with a magical weapon run around. In fact, if Morte's Litany works with complete success, the abishai will chase Morte and Morte alone while TNO and Dak'kon can hurl magic missiles at them.

You need to perform a quest for a certain granny to get some magical dentures for Morte. Then try it.

Morte has those gnashers, they are in a little green bag, when he went to bite the abeshai or whatever its called he said he could not do anything against him?
He has them as his current weapon so to speak.
