Not yet, but I have became mage. And got Dak'kon and unlocked all eight circles of Zenthrimon. Got 3-4 lvl ups thanks to this. Thinking about where to go now. I remember as soon as I get into Sigil Morte will be stolen, but I would like to get FFG and Nordom before going to Pharod. Is this possible? Have you ever played with Vhailor? I need heavy armored tanks in my party.

I played thru with Vhailor to the end. I am gobsmacked how on earth did you manage to open all eight cicles of zirthamon (or whatever tiz called) that early in the game, it would not let me open them untill my Intelligence went up some levels, and even then i was lucky if i could open one per level or two????

I have made pure mage. Big brainer His intelligence and wizdom were maxed from start (18 I guess). Now I have about 20 in wizdom he is now lvl 5 or so.
As soon as I trained to become mage at Megbeth (was it lvl 2 or 3) I turned to Dak'kon and unlocked all 8 circles right away Now, I just need some support, you can guess how week my character is now. I haven't invested any points into any characteristics rather that int and wiz.
Now, I think of solving quests that need high int first. Do you happend to remember of any such quests?

I would like to get FFG and Nordom before going to Pharod. Is this possible? No. Without seeing Pharod you can't go through the Tenement of Thugs - you need Annah for that. Have you ever played with Vhailor? I need heavy armored tanks in my party. Yes, and he is indeed a tank. If you get him, be careful what you say to him.

The Severed Arm quest. The Godsman trials. ---------
Severed arm - do you mean taking that arm to Fell to get torment tattoo? hmm, you right I will do this. What is that Godsman trials? Is this quest still in the Hive? Btw, can you return to Hive after entering Sigil ? ---------
Yes, and he is indeed a tank. If you get him, be careful what you say to him. -------- Uff, I will have to get rid of Annah then (nnoo, I like her so much, her backstab is so ... exciting )

[color:"red"] Spoilers! [/color] do you mean taking that arm to Fell to get torment tattoo? hmm, you right I will do this. It gives you quite a lot of XP and Xachariah's Heart, which raises your DEX. What is that Godsman trials? Is this quest still in the Hive? Btw, can you return to Hive after entering Sigil ? No the Godsman trials are at the Great Foundry (Lower Ward). The Hive is a part of Sigil, and you can travel between those places freely until you decide to seek out Ravel Uff, I will have to get rid of Annah then Not necessarily. Just avoid any interaction between Vhailor and Annah or Fall-From-Grace and you'll be fine

I have to drop one of my companions for the sake of Vhailor. Probably Annah As for Ignus, I will get his spells and waste him, as in previous time Sorry, what was that severed arm quest about please? I have got the arm from one of the zombies from Mortuary, but Fell doesn't give any dialogue options about it. Is this wrong arm?

No, that's not the arm you need. The true Severed Arm is in the Catacombs somewhere. Look closely, and check all the separate rooms in the catacombs. Also, ditch Nordom. Really. Vhailor is much too good to leave behind. As is Annah. Nordom is just annoying and he looks like a privy with legs.

Disagree, Nordom was very powerful ranged companion. Especially after he got upgrades, lens and some levels - his triggers started to work twice as hard as they worked before. Nordom alone could kill worm at UnderSigil without fleeing or loosing HPs. Btw, where is Vhailor? If I am not mistaken he is somewhere outside Sigil, in some other plane or maze, could you please give me some tips on finding him?
Thanks for the tips on arm

Ahem, once you have completed the Curst Prison, you will have to find the portal to leave, don't go thru it at first, go into the room behind it, and i'll leave the rest to you mate.

I just HAD to poke my head into this forum (again). PS:T is one FANTASTIC game! After reading a few of the posts in here I've come to realize that I'm no way near into the 'meat' of the game (so to speak). I'm still wandering around in Sigil looking for Pharod (and doing a bunch 'o quests in the meantime).
PS:T is definitely replayable and is, at it's core, a true RPG. In my (very humble) opinion, if you put yourself in one role (and stay with it), i.e., thief, and make the choices a thief would make, you get a different slant on the storyline than if you play as a 'mage' or 'fighter'. And I'm finding it hard to stay in that one role because my curiosity always gets the best of me.
I've started this game 3 different times and each time, I chose a different 'persona'. The choices in dialogue changed in each game and I found those choices to be phenomononal. I did that so I could get a feel for the game and what type of character I would feel most comfortable playing from beginning to end. And even more fun is the ability to change TNO's alignment. When a player is allowed to change the character's alignment, that makes any game much more interesting.
Since this is what I do for a living (write RPGs), this forum and all of you have given me a lot of insight into what makes a game 'great'. I have a lot of CRPGs that haven't been 'unwrapped' yet. I'm kicking myself for not loading PS:T earlier. Same for Grim Fandango because I really enjoy stories that have an element of the unexpected. And I think that's what makes PS:T such a great game. It's a shame it didn't sell well enough for a sequel. Oh well, no time for lamentation -- back to work and play.
Thanks for all the wonderful posts. It's great to be able to read everyone's opinions. Good stuff!

Thanks for sharing with your impressions Faralas. I am more than happy to hear another person do like the game I so much love. I have played the game once as fighter-mage and now replaying it as pure highly intelligent mage. The dialogue options seems to de different. I am now about to meet Pharod first time.
Thanks again for writing great words Faralas.

I played Planescape only once, but I completed it and watched the most obvious ending options. Since I have very little free time I hardly can play games twice. But I have to admit that PT left such a deep impression i truly consider playing it another time in the future. This brilliant atmosphere was imho only reached by very few games so far, among them some Ultimas, ROA and Fallout.

Marian. Exactly. This is my first time when I took the game, which I have played once long ago, installed it regardless of the fact that there are lots of technologically more advanced games now. I enjoy every bit of it now. I wish you to feel the same.
