Thanks for your input, spick and Storm. I'm one of those players who actually enjoys reading a lot of text so for me, the more, the merrier. I suppose I'm partial to text-based games because I'm a huge fan of Interactive Fiction. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy point and click aspects of CRPGs, but I think I'm going to like Torment because it contains a bit of both elements.
And the music is great! I think even with all our praise for PS:T, we forgot about that. The music is incredible. While you read dialogue, the music makes you *feel* the dialogue.
I didn't get very far in the game last night (I'm still stuck in the mortuary) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> but that's typical for me when I start playing a new game. If I could find the game manual, I'd be in good shape. Been looking for it, but haven't found it yet. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> It will turn up. I save everything.
The mortuary is good to stay in for a while; you get the feel for the game, and it explains a lot of basic elements. The manual, by the way, is next to worthless <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />
