Actually, that was a well-known bug. It was called the slow-down bug (though with me it never happened in combat) and it was supposedly fixed by the patch. Looks like some little bugs do slip by...
Well, I downloaded and installed the patch but the game still slows down on my computer as well. Luckily, patience has become one of my better known qualities (Yeah, right!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />). I will admit though, I think Torment is one terrific game. It's certainly unique and while I'm not that far into the game, I think it's going to become one of my favorites in terms of CRPGs. At least it will be up there with <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> and Morrowind.
