Now, it seems I have some problem again. Disk 3 doesn't load. Somehow it did when I tried to enter Many as One. But, now I am planning to visit dead nations headquarters and it just doesn't load. Had any of you this before and how to solve this?
Actually it loaded one time, so I was lucky to enter Dead Nations once, I told that guy (and the crowd of zombies) at the entrance that I agree, and next screen was TNO and somewone in dark clothing and a dark screen, everything stopped, the only way to exit through alt-tab ot ctrl-alt-del.

Please help me.

Oh Lord, don't sound to good mate, you've done the obvious and checked the disc is clean , right.
Do you know anybody else with PS:T who could let you borrow their disc?

Hmmmm... I seem to recall that Black Isle had a borken disc exchange programme, but sicne Black Isle has gone belly-up...

Have you installed your latest video drivers?

Well, I figured out why my game was 'sticking' and running so slow. I had every 'bell and whistle' activated on the game. So, I went into the Options Menu and turned off everything except for the voices (of characters and NPCs). Now the game runs like a dream.

Egin, I'm sorry you're having trouble with Disc 3. I'm still playing the game, but would be willing to send it to you when I'm done (if I knew you could send it back - that would even be better). You can always keep this option in mind if you can't find anyone else to lend you theirs in the meantime.

I started the game AGAIN (for the last and final time) after I figured out why the gameplay was so slow. Kicked my Wisdom and Intelligence up as far as they could go and added the rest of the points to constitution. I'm finding even more dialogue choices this time around and TNO kicks butt in combat mode.

Well, it's back to work and then I'll treat myself later to more of the game. Good thing I only have 2 cats to look after. LOL Living alone and working from home has its advantages! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> *gloating*

As for maxing out wizdom and int - how much do you have atm? I understand you will get +to int once in a while if specced mage.

Yes you right regardless of skills you start the game as fighter.

Today I tried to load cd 3 again. Turned all video options in game and my display settings down and it loaded <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Still have no idea what was it.

Does that mean your up and running then Egin <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />, i certainly hope so.

Thank you Spick. This works now. Today I completed Dead Nations. Got my arm, been in Tomb, now I am back in CD 2 planning to go find the place TNO died.

Btw, what have you chosen - help Many as One or help noone or kill both?
What reward will Many as one give for killing Silent King?

I killed MAO and stayed on the good side of the silent king, i did miss one quest down there, something to do with finding a zombies name?

Well MAO was a Rat and all Rats should be squished in my opinion, even them pet rats, kill the lot of 'em i say.

Rats are bad because they eat corpses.
Dead nations stay there too long, what is bad, especially bad are ghouls.
Dusties are bad as they de facto fund business on deaders.
Pharod is bad - ohh this is obvious.

[color:"orange"] Yay, Egin! You got it running. That's great news. I could only imagine how frustrated you must have been trying to load that CD. Someone in this forum noted (and rightly so) that PS:T was released a few years ago when most players' PCs didn't have as much power as they do today. I, too, wonder how anyone made it through the game on older machines. I guess if you have a good video card, that makes all the difference in the world. Anyway, I bought this PC a year ago. It's not top of the line in terms of power, but it's pretty good for the games I play and for graphic design. Right then, Question for all you Planescaper's....What happened with the Lady of pain, there was a lot of dialogue about her in the game,but she never appeared in it!, or did i miss the point or what? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Ohh, Faralas, this game is a torment in terms of running it.

Yesterday I had the whole specter of problems you could only imagine.
My problems started when I suddenly recalled that I have forgot decanter of endless water, which lies somewhere in Drowned Nations. So, cd-3 again.

And again it didn't start, after many attempts reloads and restarts cd-2 also stopped responding correctly, which caused windows crash several times, where my PC starting to boot from cd-rom and completely forgot about presence of HDD drives. Loading and loading I have got different errors from dll error to failed to initialise torment.exe.
At the end of my experiments, the game crashed every time I tried to run it from cd 2 - at the beginning of black isle logo.

So, I almost threw my PC in the window. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

Ok, I tried to calm down and do something different, so I watched some movie.
After the movie I decided I will give it last chance before wiping it from my system and throwing these cd's into trash.

Hehe, guess what happened? The game cd 2 loaded, and absolutely freaking strange that cd- 3 loaded also. Everything was as there haven't been any problems at all.
I am starting to think PST atmosphere is driving my poor PC mad <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />


BTW Guys, one more question. Pharod doesn't want to die. I mean, I don't want to kill him. I gave him the sphere, met Annah, talked to both. I know, that Pharod doesn't know how the sphere work.
I remember, that you just go in the Pharod mansion and he is lying dead after experimenting with the sphere. But, every time I return he is always standing there alive.
Should I go through the tenement of thugs to trigger Pharod's death or am I missing something? I went through all dialogue options with both Pharod and Annah. I am now in the Buried village.
And I have shown my arm to Fell if this is important.

And there is no way I am going back to cd-3.

IMO Lady was more a myth, a legend everyone feared and respected. They say she was the ruler and protector of Sigil. She kept the doors closed. I think nothing really happend with her so, she is still there protecting Sigil.
