Please try not to lvl up a lot. Otherwise we could not be in the same game. Or we could? Multiplayer is still new experience for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

I like writing very much. I have read the story you all wrote in Divine Infinity and enjoeyd very much. But I like very much writing in Greek because in English my voc is poor, my gramar is for crying for and generally I am not able to keep my original style in writing. Writing is all I ever wanted to do.

Edit: You will do what? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" /> I will use my powerfull cold and fire powers and I will show you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> : <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Alrik Palameren was Merendrious Paladin in B-Net. Pala = paladin + meren = Merendrious. It took me sometime to understand <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> I asked him in there "Who are you?". He explained to us.

I was going to name him Paladin Merendrious (wasn't original either, but try to find a name on battle net, that has not been taken <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />), but Diablo 2 don't let me make so long names. So i needed a shorter name, and

k jvb can do the most deadly frog dance, but i still run the fastest, cause of my charge skill. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Wanna try a race? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

And that is Mister Palameren to you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

@ luc: my grammar is horrible too, my spelling is even worse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
But you should try writing in def inf one time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I'm shure you will like it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

@ jvb

But somehow you manage to make sense. I don't <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I would gladly write something but I haven't finished the game yet. I think it is important to do so in order to know the places and people. But if I have some inspiration I will write. Thnx for inviting. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

the story has nothing to do with the game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />

Its just a story based in a similar world <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thought you read it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I didn't say I have finished it. It is so big! I am reading as much as I can every day. I am now at the point that you are all gathered after you had the invitation from Larian. My reading is slow because I use a lot the dictionary. So my thinking was that you somehow entered the world of divinity and had an adventure all together. I am still reading. And please don't tell me what happens.

Still it is hard for me to write. There are so many stories in my mind but they all come in my head in Greek. I will try though. But first I have to finish reading. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

oh, i thought you finished it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Don't worry, I wont tell anything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My stories first come in dutch to, so i find it difficult to use the words I want and mostallyleave big parts away because I don't know how to express it.

But I still love it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

LOL - it would be way to hilarious if some of us (me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ) even tried to write a story in another language -- the closest I might come to doing that would be in spanish. It would be truly sad. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

All of you who are multilingual are totally amazing. Trust me... if you write something we don't understand we'll tell you (and ask you to explain)!

@Lucretia, jvb : I'd suggest that you write you stories down in your own language first, and translate or rewite it later into English. That's what I do.

I personally believe I would find it awful, to have a story not properly written down, because I could not use the proper words.

What I mean is, that I have problems expressing feelings and subtle chances ... they are so delicate I need my own language to express them. Otherwise , I believe, I could and would spoil my story.

I really appreciate knowing a good story is written with one's own language - and that means every every strength in language is maxed out - instead of having a good story presented in a rather weak way.

To me, it's like having the picture of a beatiful flower in mind, but not having good tools to paint it (that's why I'm so awfully sorry that I cannot paint).

I give you an example :

In Love with a Jedi - In Liebe mit einer Jedi - Story with Jedi Shaak Ti (German / English)

I had written this story in German irst (it's still extraordinary to me) , and translated it later into English. I was quite surprised as people told me, the translation was good. I hadn't expected this.

Before you read that story, I recommend reading this www.starwars.com Databank entry : Databank : Shaak Ti

In English, I had written a small Essay on the Physiognomy of the Togruta, and that's also about Shaak Ti.

The first story I had translated was Bib Fortuna's End , also in the Star Wars Universe.

Thanks for giving me the time and place for advertising. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Alrik thank you so much. You have expressed exactly how I feel! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> There are sometimes that I want to write so many things and I feel totaly helpless. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />
We have sometimes in my language five or six different words about the same thing and I have all those words in my head and there is only one English word for that thing and I go like this [Linked Image] to find it and I can´t. The way you suggest of translating is a fine solution. My only problem is that it takes time to do that. I could do this in the Define Inf. story though. Take my time and write something in Greek and then translate it. It is worth a try. Not only I will enjoy it but I will do some more practice in my English.

Btw I liked the eg of the picture of the beautifull flower. Shows me a very sensitive person and I believe too that it is sad when beauty is violated by the lack of tools.

@ DQeen
thnx. Please do that. It will help a lot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Now I have one question. As you know I have installed DB II and the latest patch. Now I have installed DB II LOD expansion. Do I have to re-install a patch again? I think I must but I want to be sure. I played a little and not only I didn´t notice any differences but I think it is slow. I must have done something wrong <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />. Perhaps I had to uninstall the patched DB II, re-install it, then install the expansion and finally install the patch. I now left the patched DB II in my system and installed the DB II LOD. Something doesn´t seem right to me. Could you please help ?

You will need to re-install the latest patch; there are two different versions, one for the original game and one for the game with the expansion. If you still have problems after that, try a clean install of Diablo + LOD + patch.

Thank you Raze (for one more time) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> I was almost certain that something is wrong.

I will do that. Must be ready for the weekend <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Translating is painful (at least that's my own experience), but the more often I do it, the better I become doing that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's a really good practising mode ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
