Thank you both girls. You are so nice. I am still sick but I will play this weekend no matter what. DQ I got the expansion and we can play with the expanded char. Just FYI - I tried to drop an item in a ladder game, exit the game and send another character right back in to pick it up (no other character was in the game at the time). It did not work for me (several times - I'm nothing if not stubborn <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" /> ).

So the only way you can do this (if my experience is representative) is have a friend who is very patient hold a game for you while you run in and out with your "mule" character.

Please let me know if anyone else has been succesful while doing this.

Can anyone explain "Open Battlenet" to me? And if it is possible for us all to play together in that too?

playing your characters stored on "YOUR HARD DRIVE" with other people's characters on their hard drive. things might have changed over the years but i believe its no used a lot cause of easier to hack out a character on your hard drive then on the net.

Open Battle.net is Blizzard's gift to the hackers and cheaters. As mentioned, characters on open BNet are stored on your own hard drive, so you can edit their stats and items to hell and back. You can also play modded games, which is very fun. It's fun if you're playing with people you know, but unlike the realms (closed Bnet), it's not fun to just join a random game. Rather than wanting to play the quests, most people on open BNet want to duel or show off their hacked items.

@ dqueene, muling is risky.
The best thing to do is to have a patient friend, but you can also wait in the game for a couple of minutes first, then leave it, and then join it again with your mule char.

Or you inmediatly leave th game (if your impatient) but then you got to be back really fast, otherwise the game will be gone.

I used a LOD char , but the game says : "cannot join".

EDIT : Maybe the level is too low ...

About 5 minutes should do. And as JVB said, do this with passworded games or trustworthy friends.

If you want to know for shure, throw a useless item on the ground (potion or so) and leave.

Immediatly rejoin, and look if it is still there, if so, your good 2 go <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

1 warning for everyone though: as you might have seen for yourself, with patch 1.10 it has become more difficult to create and join games.

If you really have bad luck, the game will say : unable to join game, and that will mean you have lost your item.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

So watch out.
I'd really suggest you use someone you thrust.

In the spirit of the game I have tried to save the special items and drop them for others to use. Spears,bows,swords and those nasty beat up the bad guy axes! I haven't seen ya around lately. The double Bar attack is just not the same! I hope all is well!
@ Luc & Themightyone, I kept playing after you left. I switched to the West Coast Realm and played till 3 in the morning! LOL! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> I did a second act run there and got my Assn to Kurast, act 3! To bad she doesn't have the power items my
Europe girl has, but she is holding her own!

Here's a sad story: BeeGee and I were trying to build up hardcore characters (supposedly together <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" /> ); however, since he has more time to play than I do he was sneaking out and playing by himself. Friday morning I told him NOT to go out and play by himself to wait for me. Guess what he did? Guess what happened?

I now have to build up to fighting Dhuriel (sp??) the one at the end of Act 2 with my Amazon. I hve never beaten him without dying in Normal level. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Did you by chance disable level restrictions or set max characters to 8?

i tested it out for teh waiting bit,
if you go to the same level as you mule can get ex. the first act1 village.
with 1,5 minites it's safe to exit the game and go in with your mule character.
i'm gessing about 1 minute would do too, but i take a little bit on the safe side <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Al have you played alone with your Alriki ama? What level is she? If she is low level then you must create a game and we will join. Don´t know what else to think. We had fun last night but all we would love if you could be together. We must get organized. Al could you be in today?
