Well people, the day has finally come for me to say goodbye at least for a week, today arrives Legend of Arana the expansion to Dungeon Siege, and I do not have internet conection in my home (I'm at work by the way), and I plan to get a week in sick days just to play that game, (great game but not as good as <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />). Well Im off , so see you people in a week. Good Luck to you all.

Ah, Legends of Aranna is out now.
Dungeon Siege looked so good, and it was fun to build the characters, but the story was so boring!

can someone who's played any of the dungeons seigeas tell me if they were worth it? I heard mad things. so didn't get i t.

if it's available in the bargain bins for 10 bucks or less, u can consider getting it. maybe a used version? i don't know.

it's a bigger version of diablo2 with very very big maps & sparse amount of quests. get the demo first.

Nothing like D2 in my opinion, it's 3D for a start and you can have up to 6 people including 2 pack mules to tag along on your quests.It is a wee bit hack'n'slash like D2 but i particulary liked the way you could zoom in and out on your characters at any time especially during battles it was rather impressive,anyhow if you can get it in a bargain bin it's worth while in my opinion <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Get the demo! Its a 197MB-Download. Then you can choose for yourself. The graphics are nicely done but the story is very linear and boring. I was through with Dungeonsiege after finishing the demo.

I do agree not as good as <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> but could keep you active for a week.

one good point for the game is the

option to play with other users over the web.

if you could set a game up with people who are not >>>>>>>

and if you find it in a bargain bucket it is worth a tenner
of anyones money.

When it first came out I thought the graphics were briljant, but the game rather boring after a while. It's kinda cool on LAN though.

It's fairly mindless but I enjoyed it enough to play through to the end...and the bizarre thing is that you can continue playing after completing it but the land is completely empty cos you've already killed all the monsters!!! Yeh i remember that, same thing happens at the end of Fallout 2 as well, play on , for what reason <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

when you finish it It let you still playfor one reason, to pick up all the magic items from the last boss and save your game so you can use them in multiplayer mode, I though that would be pointless, because they can just give you the items in your inventory , but in case you got no room in the inventory, they still let you play so you can choose what items to pic up, save, and then load it to multiplayer

DS is the game I play at the moment at the same time with <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />

The graphics are really good. And it runs smoothly on my system. I don´t have any tecnical problems at all. It is really like <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> and it has a big variety of items. It also has a big variety on char. The packmules is a good idea and very usefull in the journey. You have lots of things to bring along. Mages and warriors are about equal. You don´t have to worry with what char. you should start. You are free to add some points to a mage and equaly build a strong mage-warrior or whatever you want. Generally I liked it. I bought it 40 €. I think it is very expensive. It should be cheaper by now. But I think that games generally in Greece are expensive. You also have company. You can choose who you will have in your party. You can dismiss members or hire members so you can build a strong team. I have said before that in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> I felt pretty lonely. In DS you have a party of eight. You can decide though if you want to travell alone. You can also decide how many people up to 8 you want to take with you.

On the other hand, the story is not as interesting as it is in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> has a strong background in the plot. DS not. The map in DS is not so helpfull as in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> And you don´t have the option to teleport from place to place. Moving in DS is a pain...(Don´t want to tell you where)... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />
At least till now. I don´t know if later in the game there are other ways to travell than foot but up till now I have to walk and walk and walk...
The music in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> is way better than DS. You also don´t have the option of sleep in DS. Sleep is what made <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> special. It makes things more real. In DS mana and health regenerate slowly when you don´t fight. For instance when you walk after a fight your health and mana grows slowly to be full again. (No wonder after all that walking...).
There is no stamina at all in DS.

Generally I liked both games. I must say that it is a nice done job in DS. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2 I am sure that will reach perfection but DS is respectfully worth playing it in my opinion.

Nice review Lucretia, you hit a perfect 10, I can't say anithing more. In the expansion of DS LOA there are some teleporters now, like in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> So is easier to travel and the expansion is pretty big and I have a tol of fun playing it.
I do recomend it while waiting on <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> to be released.

I will get the expansion as soon as I finish DS. It is already here in Greece. Thank God for the teleporters!!!
