try hit and run technique. Those summoners use fire based attacks. Maybe you should level first before going further.

For 3 of the guardians, playing a warrior, I found it helped to stand close to where they would show up on opening the tomb and attack them immediately after doing so. For the one that uses fireballs, I retreated, cleared the lesser skeletons, then attacked the guardian using a hit and run tactic.

Well thx! and for the tips 2! but those ghouls are annoying! not so strong though, but they fire small bombs, mann those bombs get me every time! and when your'e beneath those tombs, there are 3 ghouls! man they scared me to death and ehhh i am level 5 or 6 have to go check to make sure but all those lvl 9 monsters (guardian, sommonner, ghoul etc.) they have one real hard attack, it's almost a one hit kill. they cost me a fortune a potion. anywayz thx for the tips as u see i got further aleady but ehhh the skelleton archer (the big one that comes out of the tomb) is to hard, not the skelleton itself but all those little ones arround him, i can't even reach him without getting atleast 20 arrows it's soooo depressing
but i won't give up! afer all i am a SURVIVOR! haha

"not the skelleton itself but all those little ones arround him, i can't even reach him without getting atleast 20 arrows" The skeletons spread out a bit, so run around the outside and take the weaker ones out first. See also; Early Starting Tips or Early Starter Tips (NON-Spoiler Version)

but they fire small bombs, mann those bombs get me every time! Those bombs are traps set by the skeletons. When you hear a <boing boing> sound, run. The bombs have a red glow around them so you should be able to see them moving, even beind walls. They pop out of the ground and chase you, but only last a limited time (about 3 seconds) before exploding. but i won't give up! afer all i am a SURVIVOR! haha

Hi everyone,
Would the same tips here apply if you're playing at hard level as a fighter? I find that it's not as easy when I play on hard.
Thanks.

hi Lockmar! haven't seen u for sometime. how are u?
personally i felt very little & therefore negligible differences between normal & hard levels. maybe it is significant in the early parts of the game but i can't recall any.
so that means the same tips can be applied in my opinion. when u're outnumbered & outgunned, running away is a wise strategy. & as for the bouncy bomb(forgot the name), it's released by the ghouls, not skeletons.

drink a lot of strength potions. mmm so wat do these "strenth potions" do? and ehhh some ghouls are weaker than others. the one from the tomb has 400 hp (more or less) and the ones beneath the tomb have like 90 hp BTW, when i kill the necromancer, HORDES of skelletons chase me, and they all die if i go trough a door. But i'll miss a lot of experience if i don't kill em but there are SO many, so do you guys have any tips for that area, besides hit 'n run

Strength potions boost your strength, which in turn helps your melee damage (damage per strength point is 0.4, 0.14 or 0.1 for a warrior, survivor or wizard, respectively. For secondary stat calculations, see differences between classes (minor spoilers) or Early Starter Tips (NON-Spoiler Version) (contains much of the information in the above topic). After killing the necromancer, if you run west and a little south, you should be able to get to a relatively open spot by the wall, with only a couple skeletons following you. Once you are not surrounded, you can advance slowly, and take them on in reasonable sized groups.

Try and make good use of the Whirlwind attack if you're a Warrior. Ranged weaponry is essential for the bosses.

Two things:
One, those bombs are not made by any monster, they are so-called "trail bombs" set in the level. With "Deadly Gift", you can use them too, handy little suckers. Best way to deal with them is to run into an area, and then run back out. You can USUALLY outrun them, and they don't navigate corners at all well. (With any luck you'll trip across a few in your travels.)
Two, the best way to deal with the room full of enemies is to run for the nearest corner. Despite what the cutscene implies, the monsters will not in fact ALL run for you at once. They will only attack, like normal critters, if you're within their sight or hearing range, so isolate groups of them to pick apart at your leisure. Divide and conquer and all that. Once you get past the initial large group of enemies, the rest is easy because you can lure them to you in ones and twos. Heck if you run fast enough you can take the initial group in smaller doses too, they'll get strung out chasing you.
Anyway, good luck, or hope you managed to survive it okay if you passed it already.

hello!
i recall that ghouls do drop the bombs. have u tried running after one & going over the path that u took earlier which u knew had no booby trap on it? i have & do the ghouls load the paths with bombs? yeah! maybe others can clarify on this issue.

1.You can use hit & run tactic. 2.If you have some skillpoints you can learn METEORSTRIKE and burn them easy like a candy from a baby 3.You can kill them later first open those tombs and run to level 4 P.S but in lv4and5 there will be a lot of (guardians, conjuqers and also minions) then you kill the necromancer in final catacombs level kill his all servants dont run to MARDANEUS like a kid.

Well, I tried and kept trying to fry them, but to no avail, so I did run to Mardaneus. Btw, does that portal stay open? If so, I might go at it again and try to get away from those hordes and then drop back in regularly to do them in ...

No, sorry, the portal won't remain open if you use it - what if you drop a pyramid and then reenter this way? I'd save first though. Kiya ![[Linked Image]](http://kiya1.via.t-online.de/images/mapwelcom2.gif) to the forum Itkovian . Sorry, just tested it - doesn't work - the teleporter pyramids don't work at this moment. Tried to run out of the room to place them outside = Mardaneus comes and talks to you (cut scene) - if you return into that room then all monsters are already dead, so no XP for killing them.
