Now, why do I have an impression, that it is the Dark Knight that controls the runner???? This picture gives an utmost feeling, that the one who holds the end of the chain(tether) is the servant of darkness...Hey!!! does that mean anything?? Or was it just a ...???

however i felt that the banner's a tad too big. for 800x600 users like yours truly, it easily fills half the screen. ain't a good thing to make people scroll down on the first page. why not flash-based which u can incorporate news, pix-of-the-week, announcement, etc on it?
