Do the bone gloves have a purpose? And if so, what is it?

And there is a healer in Verdistis, Dragrin I think his name was, I had to wait 'til level 5 lockpick to get down that cellar, so for next time, is there a key?

While I remember, there's just one more thing.

Walker, who runs the apothecary in Ars magicana, said about this coin taking you to 2 different locations that have no escape depending on which side it lands, and if it lands on the edge it takes you to a cave full of treasure, I thought i'd find him/her in the treasure cave, the one where you have to find the 4 maps, but he/she wasn't there, can you find him throughout the game?

Not that I've seen. I think it was just a joke at Blake's (is it Blake) expense, giving the customer the coin to "test".

The bone gloves were found in Dragrins cellar, where the buads tea is.

They were associated with a quest which was taken out of the game. The book (describing an invisible ring, IIRC) and buads tea were also part of that.
There is no key to the hatch, it requires level 5 Lockpick to get in.

In fact there is a key => with pickpocket lvl 5 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
