What everyone needs to remember when they're making a post is that when people can't see your face and know that you are joking - you're words come across as just words. Words can hurt even when they're not intended to.
Small story: A few years ago it was very popular to remark about a female that you admired that she was "Some *itch". I, being the uh, unhip <gg> person that I was, was mortally offended when someone I thought was my friend called me that. Needless to say, since we were able to talk about it, I soon understood that he hadn't meant it as an insult at all, instead in his mind he was admiring me greatly. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" /> LOL
Here we are even more sensitive to words - what has a slang meaning in one country or another doesn't mean it has the same meaning in another. Some words get translated straight out of the dictionary!
