Ragnar just because I really used to like an old movie called The Vikings and he was the leader (Jarl). Ragnarok flowed from that (Its the viking armageddon). Elric is from a series of books by Michael Moorcock about an albino with a soul eating sword called Stormbringer. I kind of varied it to Etrik for my character in the Quest for Glory games.
