hello mandrake & winterfox as well as other KOTOR gamers,
the game's getting better. although i have yet 2 finish all quests in the first planet (how many planets do we get to explore?), most of them are very interesting & there are almost always 2 ways to solve any quest. this is very good for alignment shifts.
graphics-wise, it's pretty heavy. my system (athlon 800MHz, geforce4 mx440se, 256MB DDRAM, 40GB HD) can handle most parts with a bit of slowdown in busy areas such as upper taris.
sound-wise, it's quite good & as expected, all star wars sound can be heard with clarity. there are no/little tweaks for sound however, like that in NWN which u can configure for headphones, 2 or 4 or 5.1 speaker setups.
gameplay-wise, it's a hell lot better than NWN as i feel the RPG system is much lighter @ manual reading not essential. for fallout fans, this may be one of very few good games to play since FO3 will never ever happen. a lot of moral dilemmas presented in this game. many shades of grey.
this game does emphasise on items which really boost your characters' effectiveness. & i find that especially for your main character, specialisation leads to death. many instances (which i won't mention here due to the thread's non-spoiler nature) supports my experiences. for other party members, specialisation increases their effectiveness.
overall, a great game to play. i have yet 2 explore other worlds so i hope this game isn't an incarnation of lionheart: tiger's head, mouse's tail, as how a chinese saying would go.
so how's your progress, winterfox & mandrake? light or dark? can a dark jedi co-exist with a goodie 2-shoe jedi in a party? i'm trying to make such combo now.
edit: oops, i guess u've answered some of them already, winterfox. sorry. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
