To be sure, check out Bastila's list of Force Powers: she's got Affect Mind, too. Using it a lot (and I mean a lot) will earn you darkside points. Ironically, when I first used it, Bastila gave me a lecture, something along the line of, "The Force is not to be trifled with lightly. Continue doing this, and you may find yourself staring down the dark path."

Oy, you hypocritical she-kath. *slaps* I really like her voice (Jennifer Hale also did Mazzy Fentan in BG2, Deionarra, and Fall-from-Grace in PS:T), but her character... really! (Her exchanges with other NPCs are still fun, though. See the one between her and Canderous. "Spoiled little Jedi princess," indeedy.)

Actually, I still have that GeForce FX 5200 128 MB lying around in a box after its removal from my PC. (Which, incidentally, is a P4 2.8c, 800 MHz bus, 512 DDR RAM.)

A lot of the interaction between your party members is great. Hehe, seen the first one between Bastila and Mission?.

so far, i'm using my main character as a stasis & range weapon jedi. she works very well this way. hope to get field stasis to really make full use of the grenades.

I ended up with something like 20 grenades (for each kind, so all in all I had more than a hundred) and countless mines. *laughs* That's the "Force-jump-and-bull-everything-through-with-lightsabers" approach for you.

Dont forget to get the stun droid power. Its very useful as there are some quite tough combat droids later.

one way to make use of the mines is that if your initial character class is scoundrel & that u have put a lot of points in stealth; creep to the nearest clump of enemies & set mines along the path to your party. disable stealth once u're some distance away from them & fire a distraction shot. if it hits, all the better. then run like hell. see mines blow up behind.

Hmm! Im going to play a scoundrel next time around so Ill give that a try jangutt!

Have you tried having a party that consists of Bastila and Juhani? Talk about Jedi mayhem!! I blink and everything is dead (Except dark Jedi, those guys are pretty tough)

wow! u mean i get 2 have a charlie's jedi angels party? so that means u go all the way melee?

Only for the XBox version; there's a glitch that can make all your NPCs Jedi.



I always went with Bastila and Carth (okay, almost always) in my first time. But I've just stomped on everything that moves (and is hostile) on Kashyyyk with me (Jedi Guardian), Juhani and Bastila/Jolee. Talk about powergaming fun. Even Dark Jedi go down pretty easily if you have the first move and/or buff, plus using Force Suppression/Breach.

I think this game deserves game of the year!!

Mandrake - agreed on the title. The game is good.

Uff, I delegated all stun powers to Bastilla. (just became a jedi yesterday).
I took that lightning (dark power) for me melee jedi guardian. Trying to work out the best combo - now using lightsaber and vibroblade. I should probably borrow Bastillas ligsaber <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> as it is twobladed.

You're still on Dantooine, yes? You'll soon run into more lightsabers. (If you agree to do a certain quest, anyway.)

oh yes, i recall that one. in fact, u get to have 2 more lightsabers, each of colours different from what u have.

the game's a lot of fun & yes, it deserves to be game-of-the-year.

& i'm counting on <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> to be next year's best.

my rogue-ish jedi still works well with ranged attack. in fact i made her a stasis jedi with maybe force nullifier in the future. she'll be a support that debuffs enemies & flank them. the rest are meat.

I decided to replay Tantoiine. Lightning power can be used unarmored only and you can't put armor back during the fight. It is not good to fight uglies in pants only even after casting scary lightnings <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I guess, lightning is good for ranged only.

One small question: when creating your first lightsaber, can you do two-bladed?

sure u can. just use bastila's dual bladed lightsaber.
