@ Egin: You are better off wielding duel lightsabres, especially if they are both modified with crystals. I can do more that 50 damage a round if I hit with both of my sabres!

I have my own sabre in my main hand and a balanced short sabre in my off hand. I also have Master duel weapon fighting!!

Dual-wielding lightsabers + Master Flurry + Master Speed = about 5 attacks/round, if I remember correctly. Assuming that you don't miss, have so-so STR and attack bonus, with mediocre lightsaber crystals, you'd still do at least 15-20 per hit. That's almost 100 points of damage in a single round. Far more if you have high STR, good lightsaber crystals, and is a Jedi guardian with buffs. (And master two-weapon fighting.) Yup. Powergaming fun.

I decided to replay Tantoiine. Lightning power can be used unarmored only and you can't put armor back during the fight. It is not good to fight uglies in pants only even after casting scary lightnings

Eh. You aren't wearing Jedi robes? Most Force Powers are restricted by armor, and anyway Jedi get defense bonus as they level up. So you should do fine in robes. (You'll get some better robes later on. Earlier if you're a Light-side Jedi. A bit late if you're a Darksider, but that particular robe beats everything else in the game.)

Im just at the point where Jedi robes are really worth it, my powers are so cool I dont notice the loss of protection. Besides I think I look kinda stylish in my Master Jedi robes. Hehe! Ive been playing this too long, im scaring myself!

Thanks for your replies guys.
Dantoine was the planet I am still on. Having two ladies as my companions.
Hmm, interesting I wil think about speed-dw combo, sounds very promising. Having a party of three jedi each having some strong powers makes life easiir.

Dantooine was first mentioned by Leia Organa on board the Death Star - but never was much more revealede about this Planet. This is the first time (except SWG) we see something more of it.

Bioware should have done the prequel movies. George Lucas sucks at character design!!

Lionheart

Temple of Elemental Evil
Blade and Sword ???
NWN

I think the only competitors are DE and NWN.

Actually NeverWinter Nights was released in 2002 so it cant count. I suppose you could count the expansion packs. Personally, with Deus Ex 2, I think it has gone to action game to be counted as an RPG

So you are right, there arent many real contenders on the RPG stakes. But then again, that award was for all platforms and there were some great RPG's released for console machines. For KotOR to come out first is actually an achievement.

I think the sequel should be Star Wars Cats of the Old Republic!

Right, it seems there is no one to fight with for the first place.
Reviews say that DE2 has even less RPG content than first Deus, shame on them bcause it was expected to be exciting and even revolutionary action RPG. It is third person shooter with

COTOR ? Who is the main char then ? Mandrake > ?

Well, you get Juhani in this game. That's a feline Jedi for you. Though she never purrs... or meows.

Lionheart doesn't stand much of a chance. It's not a total fiasco, but a success the likes of KotOR it is not.

Temple of Elemental Evil doesn't stand a chance, either, though I notice that it's got the "Old-school RPG" award. (What kind of category is this? Was it made just so that ToEE will get a mention?) The bugs. The awful writing.

It should Viper. Good luck. Im an easy touch when it comes to RPG but Winterfox is very demanding, if she likes it I think you will

"Oldschool" could mean in this sense to be a game for "rule-maniacs". (Slightly Satiric)

It is addicting. I am playing a week or even a bit longer and still not bored.
And I don't remember what other game I played almost evening till 3-4am before KOTOR. Was it ?
