i played dd as usual. when suddenly i noticed that im standing in place with empty stamina, i wait for it to regen and nothing happens. i use a stamina option and stand in place and i see my stamina going down when i stand in place. and im doing NOTHING! what is going on ? am i cursed? im currently in the cursed abbey didn't go down yet. what happened to my fellow?

it's quite possable you picked up the rock, its a magic halberd (staff type weapon) in the cursed abby that while in your posestion (equiped or just in your backpack) will constantly drain your stamina, check for the item in your backpack and drop it, if you stamina rises again, thats what it is, just teleport back to town and sell it for a bit of money and continue on your journey <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (unless you WANT to use it of course, im currently in the process of building a character specificly desined to use that weapon <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> )

btw why would someone use htat halberd :X is it good? the penalty for wearing is big :X

I think it tends to have good stats on it, tho not as good as the highest weapons, but pretty good for how early on you can find it.

'sides, i have a couple of little.... tactics, that can be used to... bypass its disadvantage <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> (and no i dont mean cheating, it's all legit, just some skill choice and use tricks i lernt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )

I've heard you can counter the curse by charming it with two Constitution Charms. You'd have a very powerful, curse-free weapon! (P.S. I've never tried it myself.)
