Just bought the game yesterday and its amazing...

but did anybody else notice that a ton of the illustrations in the various manuscripts in the game are copies/alterations of original sketches and diagrams by Leonardo da Vinci?

(I just finished a college seminar on Leonardo so its a nice little easter egg)

Wouldn't they have to be? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

Do you have a link to the game/developer site?
FYI, if the game is an RPG, this post should be in the RPG Chat forum, otherwise the Chat forum.

Chemchok, welcome to the forum <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />. As a matter of fact I haven't noticed that back when I was playing. Nice to know.

Raze, I may be stupid so excuse the question but why are you directing Chemchok
to a different section of the forum? He is talking about Divine Divinity isn't he? To be exact, about the illustrations found on some of the manuscripts in the game. Everything seems ok to me - Divine Divinity forum, section - general. Perhaps I do not understand something - if so then please enlighten me...

Thanks. Interesting. A long, long time I had the feeling as if I knew the style from somewhere.

Now I know why. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

"but why are you directing Chemchok to a different section of the forum?"

Because I misread the post. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> I only remember seeing a couple manuscripts in Divinity that I recognized from Leonardo da Vinci, and from a quick Google search there appears to be a Da Vinci puzzel/myst-type game.

Thanks for the intro to the forum Raze.

I made this quick page for a comparison of two of the illustrations I found...

Divine Divinity and Leo

I was a little confused about the off-topic question too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Chemchok;
Sorry about that. You should add that link to the EASTEREGGS and RUNE manuscripts topic; I saw both of those manuscripts in Divinity, but didn't recognize the similarity to Leonardo da Vinci's work.

Hey, you started the 'ancient dragon' analogy. To a dragon, a mercenary is called an orderve. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

EDIT
I could not remember/find the right spelling, so went with the most commonly used derivative. MeaCulpa, you were close, it is hors d'oeuvre, now that I'm looking in the right spot in my dictionary.
sorry for the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" />

Hmm figure by that spelling, you must be an Anglisized Canadian or a Kanuck <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

"Hors D'ouvre" IIRC

I really like how you used those images, Marian! Will we have more to look forward to?

Well done! Actually just one original LdV drawing is missing - old man's bald head.
