that bad? (as if i can understand any of the language above <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> )
well a friend who's system is AMD 1.2GHz, 256MB RAM, ATA100 hard disk, built-in soundchip(crap) & geforce2 mx200 32MB runs the game at 640x480 with the details at medium. so far so good.
i look at the game(yet to play it) & it doesn't seem to be a lot better than the previous NFS, which was hot pursuit 2. heck it is only a bit better than midnight club 2, which until now is still on my hard drive. why a bit?
1. the cars can be tricked out (modified) but they seem very superficial & mediocre. upgrades are only in terms of level 1, level 2 & professional level. nothing on exact modification which u get to choose brand or type. i guess this could be due to the game being arcade, not simulation.
2. the archaic track play style totally sucks monkey ball as i thought EA will beat rockstar by also making a huge city map for players to race in. i guess not.
3. damage is still not so visible as EA must've been afraid to have their license revoked for wrecking the cars in the game.
4. opponents in singleplayer have the personality of the spoon that i use to stir my coffee. that means none. they're just faceless & therefore boring to play with. midnight club 2 though with flaws still have personality & style in the game.
5. no LAN support. meaning u have to go online via EA server to play with friends though they come over to your place for LAN party.
6. i sympathise with my buddy viper because his fav car isn't featured in NFS:U. there is a dodge car, yes, but not viper. sorry dude.
sorry if i don't write the same language.
